The Connecticut Small Business Development Center Helps Small Businesses Start, Grow, and Thrive in Middlesex County.
The Connecticut Small Business Development Center (CTSBDC) is pleased to announce that local resident, Jim Jackson, will serve as Business Advisor to the small business and entrepreneurial community in Middlesex County. He’s located at the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, 393 Main Street, Middletown, and also meets with clients at their place of business.
“I enjoy working with clients to maximize their success by sharpening their focus on the customer, helping to identify critical goals and reviewing their business plans and budgets.” explains Jim. “As a result of this work, they build confidence, clear direction and better outcomes while achieving new levels of business performance and customer satisfaction. That builds economic vitality in our community.”
Jim joins a team of Business Advisors who offer professional, confidential, and expert business advice for owners to overcome challenges and reach their goals. Providing comprehensive business assistance is the CTSBDC mission, and they have free resources, tools, and online trainings to offer business help along the way. Their Business Advisors provide geographic-based demographics, consumer spending data, market research, financial projections, industry reports and so much more! They are committed to enhance Connecticut’s economic wellbeing and build thriving communities.
“With 342,443 small businesses* located in the state of Connecticut, it is important to be embedded within the communities we serve,” said Joe Ercolano, State Director of the CTSBDC. “This is why we partnered with the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce. Existing locally helps us to better understand the unique needs required of small business owners and therefore provide customized, beneficial business advising services to help increase economic development in this area.”
“The Connecticut Small Business Development Center is a tremendous resource for local small business owners and entrepreneurs,” states Larry McHugh, President of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce. “While the CTSBDC serves the entire state of Connecticut, having an office located at the Chamber makes accessing the many services they offer much easier for our community.”
Jim provides no-cost, confidential assistance including business plan review, growth strategies, market research and guidance with loan and grant applications. Clients create viable businesses, generate long-term jobs and access more money to expand and start businesses with his help.
