The committee also hosted Senate President Pro Tem Don Williams on February 2nd and will have Speaker of the House Christopher Donovan brief our membership on February 19th.  The Legislative Committee values its relationship with the legislative leadership and always finds these meetings to be very productive and very worthwhile.  For more information on Speaker Donovan's visit, please review the meeting notice.

Connecticut Business Day 2010 is scheduled for February 24th at the State Capitol in Hartford.  We are expecting over 30 Chamber members to attend the event, along with members of the Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA) and many other Chambers of Commerce in our state.  The goal of Connecticut Business Day is for the business community to meet with legislators and make sure they hear our position on a host of critical issues.  The economy of course remains the dominant issue of the day but members will also have a chance to sit in on breakout sessions with legislators on the critical issues of labor costs, tax policy, manufacturing and small business development.  Please see the office notice for more information.  We hope to see you there!!
