visit our site In East Hampton, Lake Pocotopaug is one of Connecticut's largest natural lakes, where fishing and other water sports are popular. The Comstock Covered Bridge on Route 16 over the Salmon River is one of three left in the state. Hurd State Park, with 884 acres, offers fishing on the Connecticut River, hiking, picnicking and camping available to those who arrive by canoe. During the winter months, cross-country skiing is available on marked trails.
