The Middlesex County Chamber's Arrigoni Bridge Committee will be meeting on April 24, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at the Chamber. John Carey and Ken Lussier from the Connecticut Department of Transportation will give an update on the Department's efforts and Bill Kristoff, Baker Engineering NY, Inc., will give an update on the bridge lighting. Arrigoni Bridge Committee
The Arrigoni Bridge Committee meets every other month to go over safety issues related to accidents and traffic at the Arrigoni Bridge and Route 9 merger area. The committee consists of local elected leadership and police, representatives of the state Department of Transportation and Middlesex Chamber members and staff. Since its inception, the committee has proactively opened communication lines between all parties, which has facilitated improved responses to accidents and traffic congestion at this main artery to Middletown, Portland, Cromwell and the lower Connecticut River Valley.
