We are "On-the-Move"
Since 1982, the Chamber has recognized continued growth in membership increasing from 282 to over 2,350 members. It is with great pleasure that I personally thank you for allowing us to continue to serve you as the voice of business in Middlesex County. In our member companies, over 50,000 individuals are represented. We are united in our mission to be an advocate of the business community, so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of a vibrant economy.
With over 45 divisions, committees and councils, the Chamber remains a strong organization that continues to actively support business. Special thanks to our 2008-2009 Chairman, Ken MacCormac, and the Board of Directors for their great leadership and support.
It is a privilege to work with an outstanding group of business people truly committed to making our region a better place to live and work. During the upcoming months, the Chamber looks forward to many exciting endeavors and advancements as we continue to remain active in business growth and in securing new economic, industrial and tourism development to assure our economy remains healthy and strong.
As the largest free-standing Chamber in the state, we have attracted some of the most renowned political, business and sports leaders nationwide at our monthly breakfast forums, with upwards of over 500 to 900 people in attendance.
The Chamber will continue to advocate and support the business community by engaging our government officials on the local, state and federal levels, promoting our business clusters and providing skills training through our workforce development programs.
Innovation has been the cornerstone to our success and much of it has been driven by members like you. Your ideas, vision and support have helped launch award winning initiatives such as the Chamber's Side Street to Main Street Program, new councils and committees such as Human Resource, Affordable Housing and Creative Juice. We are constantly searching to provide our members with additional continuing educational tools, highlighted by the Chamber's small business seminars, workshops and CEU classes.
As always we count on your membership, loyalty and participation in the development of Chamber programs and we welcome your criticisms, suggestions and recommendations. I wish to thank all of you for your support of our Chamber. The Chamber excels because you excel and we are happy to help you succeed.
And always remember, " The Sun Always Shines in Middlesex County"!
